About Phinney
|
Phinney Ridge is a geographically small neighborhood with a big sense of community. The neighborhood is located atop a ridge between Green Lake and Ballard. It is named after Guy C. Phinney, a lumber mill owner and real estate developer, whose estate was bought by the city and turned into Woodland Park in 1899, which is now home to internationally acclaimed Woodland Park Zoo (located just steps from the Roycroft building).
One of the driving forces for the neighborhood's community spirit is the Phinney Neighborhood Association (PNA) - a non-profit organization that offers year-round events and programs to local residents (complimentary 1-year PNA membership offered to new owners of unit 402!).
You will find a variety of wonderful shops and restaurants along the main streets leading through the neighborhood: Phinney Ave N and Greenwood Ave N. |
